​The word "apothecary" comes from the Greek word "apotheke," meaning "storehouse or shop." This term was introduced into our English language with inspiration from the Latin word "apothecaries," which referred to a person who sold medicines. We now refer to these people as "Pharmacists," and the storehouses as "Pharmacies." The term "Apothecary" in present times has stuck with the more traditional folk ways and is used in an artisanal way, particularly by those working with herbs and other alternative supplements.

Crafting herbal medicine is one of my favorite forms of art. It’s simply magical. It's a bridge between the ancestors, Earth, and us humans. Herbal medicine is the original medicine. Once you begin to familiarize yourself with common herbs and listen close enough, they start to introduce themselves and their friends. It is a path of remembrance. 

I am also a deeper admirer of the sacred Flower Essences. These are energetic imprints of individual flowers, capturing their healing Essences. My Master's of Herbalism thesis project, Wildflower Whispers, a collection of Flower Essences with an Oracle Deck, was brought to fruition by listening to the flowers. I enjoy making custom products for family, friends, and clients. I also make custom lines for businesses; an example of this is my Winter Wellness collection at Holistic Wellness Services in Moose Lake, MN. This features Sore Throat Spray, Lotion, Tallow Balm, Facial Steams, and Garlic Honey which was decided with the shop owner to meet the community's needs.
